Postdoctoral position in Lyon



The selection comitee has selected the application of Roman Sasyk.
He will take part to the AGORA activities from January to July, 2011.


The offer was:
A postdoctoral position will be available at the Department of Mathematics of the ENS Lyon (France), starting from September 2010. It is funded by the ANR project AGORA.

The successful candidate is expected to be involved in the ANR (French National Research Agency) project AGORA ("Actions, Groups, OpeRator Algebras"), a research project in Measurable Group Theory, von Neumann Algebras, L^2 invariants, Descriptive Set Theory, Graph Percolation. AGORA is a common project of mathematicians from Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Lausanne, Leuven, Lyon, Orléans, Paris, Rennes.

There are no teaching duties associated with the position. However, the successful candidate is expected to:
- actively participate in the AGORA activities,
- collaborate with the participants of AGORA,
- participate in the activities of the Department of Mathematics of the ENS Lyon,
- take part in the program on "Von Neumann algebras and ergodic theory of group actions" that will take place in Paris, from April 18 till July 9, 2011, in the Institut Henri Poincare.

The successful candidate will be welcome to visit other participants of the AGORA project.
