How to come to UMPA by the subway

From the Part-Dieu train station: exit: Vivier-Merle then, ...
use the subway : line B (colored blue) towards Stade de Gerland till the station: DEBOURG.

The ticket (single: 1.60 euros in January 2011) must be stamped and is valid for one hour, no return (TCL). 
It is available through automaton (which accepts coins and gives change) just before the subway platform.

Warning: once arrived at the Debourg station, you must reach the "Campus Jacques Monod" (Science). 
Not to be confused with the "Campus Rene Descartes" (Letters).

Once at the Debourg station: (click on the pictures to enlarge)

1) Exit through the front of the subway station Debourg. 2) You arrive on the avenue Jean-Jaurès. Walk till the traffic light.

3) At the traffic light, cross the avenue Jean-Jaurès (turn right). You are now on the Challemel-Lacour street. 4) Follow this street till the place des Pavillons.

5) Engage under the porch of the place des pavillons. You are entering the allée d'Italie. 6) follow the allée d'Italie until the main building of the Ens-Lyon.

Whew, finally arrived.

7) The main entrance lies on the left under the arch of the main building. There is always somebody at the desk. 8) The math research department, UMPA, lies on the 4th flour. When leaving the elevator, turn right twice to reach the center of the department.
