The first joint AMS-SMF meeting will take place at the Ecole normale supérieure in Lyon, France, on July 17-20, 2001.

Registration and collection of keys will take place at the grand amphitéâtre of the Ecole normale supérieure de Lyon, 46, Allée d'Italie, 69364 Lyon, at the following times :
Monday 16^th 2001 : between 3 pm and 9 pm
Tuesday 17^th 2001 : between 8 am and 9.30 am.
In addition, the main reception desk of the Ecole normale supérieure de Lyon, 46, Allée d'Italie, 69364 Lyon, will be open around the clock for the duration of the congres.

There will be 7 plenary talks of 50 minutes and several special sessions, that will each last four half-days and consist of 18 talks of 35 minutes, questions included; moreover most of the sessions will have a certain number of contributions (click here to submitt a contributed paper) of 15 minutes, questions included. You can also submitt a contributed paper independently of the sessions.
